Professional Learning Sub Committee

Purpose

 

The Professional Learning Committee facilitates professional development opportunities and resources to facilitate practice sharing, networking and upskilling to achieve WIL Australia’s objective of enhancing quality WIL. 

 

Functions

 

To fulfil this purpose, the Subcommittee will:

  • Support professional learning opportunities to broaden and extend expertise; 

  • Deliver online professional learning sessions; 

  • Source and disseminate quality resources for a variety of audiences including practitioners and industry; 

  • Share quality, innovative WIL practice illustrating a diversity of disciplines, models and methods; 

  • Facilitate and support the dissemination of research outcomes and project findings across the sector; 

  • Build capacity and foster sustainability amongst WIL Australia members; 

  • Run the biennial WIL Australia Case Study Award, including convening the review panel and recipient selection process.

Membership

 

Co-chairs will be appointed from the Board, with sub-committee leads and additional members selected from WIL Australia Chapters and recommended volunteers.

 

Frequency of Meetings

 

Minimum once every two months. Resources and Events sub-committees minimum once every two months; Case studies will meet minimum every two months in conference years, and as needed in non-conference years.
