Strengthening Connections in Higher Education

Work Integrated Learning, Employability and Career Development

Event overview

Finding meaningful and gainful employment after completing a course of study is a key outcome sought by many students. To achieve this, understanding the relevance of career development in relation to their studies is crucial.

While terms like career development, employability, and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) are often used interchangeably, they are distinct concepts. Understanding their differences and connections is key to maximizing their benefits.

This panel brings together career practitioners and WIL practitioners (academics) to discuss the overlaps and the benefits of supporting students undertaking WIL activities with their career development, pre, during and post their experience.
