I lead strategic employability development for Macquarie Business School. In professional practice subjects, I design, co-create, curate and facilitate opportunities for students to explore their values, attributes and skills as they navigate the study and practice of their discipline. I support lecturers and course directors from all business disciplines to design work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for all levels of study. I co-convene a university-wide WIL community of practice to create a space for sharing ideas and resources for teaching in the WIL space.
I completed my PhD exploring the relationships between motives and rewards in the context of social entrepreneurship. My interest in this area was piqued by earlier work in micro-lending and small business development. I am a former Peace Corps Volunteer with work experience at Women’s Economic Ventures, Save the Children and Frost & Sullivan.
