Dr Julia Caldicott is a Senior Lecturer and Academic Lead for Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in the Faculty of Business and Law at Southern Cross University. She holds undergraduate degrees in Business and Nursing, a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education, and a PhD in WIL and student development.

As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), Julia is committed to advancing employability and student development through authentic WIL experiences, including internships, industry projects, and global study tours. She serves on the WIL Australia NSW/ACT Committee and the Professional Learning Committee, contributing to national WIL practice. Julia is also the Faculty Lead for the Principles of Responsible Management. Her research explores WIL in relation to sustainability, student development, and the importance of WIL in tourism higher education, as well as GenAI adoption in higher education and its sustainability implications.
