Dr Laura Rook is a Senior Lecturer in Management at the University of Wollongong, specialising in curriculum innovation, assurance of learning, and the integration of work-integrated learning across business education. She holds a PhD in Human Resource Management with a focus on Work-Integrated Learning and is recognised for her expertise in reflective practice, graduate employability, and professional skills development.

At UOW, Dr Rook teaches across management disciplines, including strategic management and business communications, and coordinates the undergraduate Business Capstone program. She has led significant initiatives in curriculum mapping, reflective learning design, and the embedding of ethical reasoning and academic integrity into coursework.

Her scholarship examines how structured reflection models, such as DEAL, enhance students’ ability to connect theory with workplace experience. Dr Rook is widely regarded for her collaborative, evidence-informed approach to teaching and her ongoing contribution to improving learning experiences and educational quality across the university.
