Lecturer in Medical Science at CQUniversity and 2025 Australian Council of Deans of Science Fellow for STE(A)Ming Ahead in WIL. With over 25 years in higher education, Sarah-Jane is nationally recognised for advancing Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) in science and health disciplines. She has designed and led innovative WIL experiences across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, embedding authentic industry engagement and career-ready capabilities into curriculum. Her leadership includes chairing WIL working parties, consulting with universities on WIL strategy, partnership curation and mentoring academics in experiential learning design. Sarah-Jane is an active committee member of the WIL Australia Queensland Chapter and serves nationally on the WIL Australia Student Scholarships Sub-Committee, contributing to national conversations on WIL assessment and quality. Her fellowship focuses on strengthening STE(A)M WIL partnerships and sharing best practice through a developed toolbox resource and national tour, supporting educators to create impactful, future-focused learning experiences that prepare graduates for dynamic professional environments.
