Melissa has over 10 years experience in leading work-integrated learning in academic and professional roles, including Academic Director, WIL.

Melissa holds a Bachelor, Honours and Masters of Visual Arts (History and Theory).


Her research includes quality supervision of WIL, policy and WIL pedagogy.


In addition to her academic role, Melissa is also Director, Better Placed, Department of Health and Wellbeing, Government of South Australia. In this role, Melissa provides leadership of a team who operationalise health clinical placements.


Melissa is a member of the 2026 WIL Australia Conference committee and looks forward to welcoming people to Adelaide!
