I am a Lecturer in Rural Health with the Flinders University Department of Rural Health in South Australia. I teach and research across a range of health professions contexts, focusing on community-based approaches to health professions education, scholarship and research. My expertise in workplace learning, community programs, and educational design has been wrought across vocational, community, local government, and state government sectors. I hold a Bachelors degree in Vocational and Adult Education, a Graduate Diploma in Community Cultural Development, and a Doctor of Education. Since 2021 my work has focused on rural clinical placement program design and evaluation, with a special interest in service learning models, transdisciplinarity, and scholarship of practice. I hope to support the WIL Australia agenda through working with others to investigate and promote practitioner-led research and the rural context for WIL. I consider peer-to-peer knowledge exchange to be of critical value to WIL Australia community.
