Nicole Ronald is an experienced educator and academic leader committed to enhancing student learning and employability through high‑quality work‑integrated learning (WIL) in computing and IT. She is a Lecturer in Computer Science and Software Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology and Academic Director for Work‑Integrated Learning in the School of Science, Computing and Emerging Technologies, where she leads the strategic integration of industry‑engaged learning across the curricula.

Nicole designs authentic, industry‑linked learning experiences that build practical skills, professional capabilities, and industry readiness. She has led innovative, real‑world assessment and WIL units and cultivates industry partnerships to create impactful opportunities for students. She also engages with industry‑targeted education through professional IT certifications, including becoming a certified Agile Scrum Master, ensuring alignment with contemporary practice. Her teaching excellence has been recognised through multiple faculty and school teaching awards.
