Rachael Baron is the Program Coordinator for the Professional Placement subjects leading to the Industry Placement Minor at La Trobe University. She is a collaborative Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) educator with over 25 years of experience in Higher education. Rachael holds a Master of Education, with a major research project focused on the first-year experience of international students and their perceptions of employability. She is also a Senior Fellow of the UK’s Advance HE and co-convenes the La Trobe University Employability CoP.

 

Rachael has made significant contributions to WIL Australia

(WILA), including serving as a member of the ACEN National Board from 2021 to

2023. She has held various roles within the Vic/Tas chapter over the past

decade, including serving as convenor. Rachael has supported numerous

professional development seminars within the chapter, particularly those

focused on diversity and inclusion in WIL, and was a member of the 2021

National Conference committee.
